Fundamental human needs can be understood as a system. All fundamental human needs are interrelated and interactive. Every need that is not sufficiently satisfied, leads to human poverty and poverty generates pathologies. Some examples of poverty are Poverty of: Living (insufficient shelter) Protection (poor health systems) Affection (authoritarian systems) Understanding (poor quality of education, fed lies) Participation (marginalization of women, children and minorities) Identity (forced migration) Human Scale Development (HSD) is community development and is focused and based on the satisfaction of fundamental human needs.
